In Haiti, Reaching Hearts for Kids is supporting the Eden Garden Orphanage, founded by Charles and Gigi Le-Morzellec who provide orphans with food, shelter, education and medical care. We have provided funds to help build a clinic for this area, to help provide care to the children and to the community.

RHK Team meets with U.S Ambassador of Haiti in Washington, D.C

RHK raises $50,000 to help the children of Haiti after Earthquake disaster
January 2010

A 7.0 magnitude earthquake hit Haiti at 4:53pm on Janurary 12, 2010. The epicenter was 10 miles west of Port-au-Prince, a city of 2 million inhabitants. The earthquake and its 33 aftershocks caused severe infrastructrual damage, injury, and loss of life. It is estimated that approximately 3 million people in the region will need emergency aid in this country where most people already survive on less than $2 a day.
